Welcome back the the second showcase of September! We've got a wonderfully eclectic selection for you today, both in paintjobs and sculpts. Let's get cracking.
1) @angelos_sbg
First up is this beautifully intricate man of Rohan from MESBG. This artist has nailed the paintjob on the head, with perhaps one of the cleanest and most grounded paintjobs I've seen on a LOTR miniature. The level of detail is truly impressive, allowing different textures to be visible due to the sheer skill behind the brush. I really do love this artists painting style, and love that they also mainly focus on doing justice to all those wonderful MESBG sculpts. If you'd like to see some more of those, then go check out their page!
2) @oscarlars
Next up is a man you may have heard of if you've spent any time in the hobby. I'm sure every painting competition seems to bring his name up. And for good reason; as he is an incredibly talented painter. Choosing one picture to showcase was very difficult, but as I don't see enough Necromunda, this was the conclusion. Painting human skin will always be one of the hardest things to paint well, but Oscar has no difficulty in doing so. Honestly, there's not much I can add about Oscar that you don't know, other than to just check out his page in awe!
3) @serg_repas
My goodness you're spoiled today with such amazing paintjobs. This next one is perhaps the best space marine I've ever seen painted. So clean, cool, calm and collected. Painting wit whites and greys are truly quite tricky to do well. But this artist has made sure to prove that wrong, by completely excelling at it. It would be easy for a model like this to look a little flat and boring, but it's completely the opposite. You'd be a fool not to go and check this artist out, as they've got a huge amount more to offer your retinas.
Finishing things for us today is Steve with his beautifully eerie book loving ghost. I really like the aesthetics of nighthaunt, but often don't like the vibrant colours found on them. However, the sickly greens and spooky purples work wonders here. This is how I feel the box art colour scheme for them should have been. The effort that has gone into the base also must be commended. Upon looking at Steve's page, I realise he's actually a master at cool and creepy terrain and dioramas. I strongly implore you to go have a look!
That's all there is for today! Thank you for checking out this article, and hopefully you go on to check out the artists featured, as that is the point! And once again, thanks to the artists for their permission in letting me use their pictures and letting me run my mouth over them.
If you would like to be featured in the future, then please get in contact via plasticpreacher@gmail.com or @plasticpreacher on Instagram.
See you in a week!
