Hello, here's your weekly dose of inspirational goodness to get your week going. Although, if you're like most people, you're already midway through your week, so you need some inspiration more than anyone. So lucky you, we have four incredible artists providing the artistic teet for you to suckle on.
1) @paintertovey
We're lucky enough to have Ross providing our first paintjob today, in the form of this scenic Kroot. Ross is an incredible painter, providing smooth and mind blowing paintjobs that look more like digital art than painted miniatures. This paintjob in particular is no different, looking incredibly powerful and atmospheric. Some of the best paintobs are those that use a simple and subtle palette, just as this one does, relying heavily on greens and browns and doing it fantastically. And it goes without saying that the base is awesome. Head over to Ross' page for more of his work!
2) @catminiatures
We've got Mrs Cat up next, providing us with one of the best paintobs I've seen on one of these sculpts. The armour is so beautiful, mixing shades of orange and blue that create a beautiful rust like contrast effect. I haven't quite seen a colour like this and it truly is as unique as it is beautiful. The traditional green skin looks so well painted, with interesting colours clearly used in the shadows. This paintjob is another one with wonderful work gone into the basing work to elevate the overall piece. Go check out Mrs Cat's page for more wonderful work!
3) @ivanserra_art
Ivan is treating us to our third paintjob of the day, with this beautifully complex piece. This is a perfect example of how this little picture isn't enough to do justice to such an extravagent and jaw dropping piece. In fact, even calling it just a paintjob doesn't feel right; this is something a whole lot more than that. The composition, arrangement, and story being told from the overall piece is so incredibly impressive, and I find these sorts of pieces to be the most inspirational of all! Don't waste any more time here; go have a look in better detail over on Ivan's page!
4) @knutandtheminis
Our final piece today is courtesy of Knut. Here we have one of the more majestic sculpts from Warhammer, and one I find seems a little intimadating to tackle painting. Clealy Knut doesn't think so, as not only has he indeed tackled it, but he has done so in spectacular fashion, providing this great end result. Leaning heavily into the box art scheme works well, and utilising a range of blue tones looks fantastic here. The seamless blend of blue tones on the wave cloak is incredibly impressive too. Go and check out Knut's page to see in more detail!
That will indeed be that for this week. What a fantastic selection of paintjobs and atists we have featured here today. Please do go and check them out in futher detail. There's bound to be many more paintjobs by each of them ready to get you to start salivating with inspirational drool. And let's be real, is there a better and more tasty kind of drool than inspirational drool? Wait... maybe don't answer that.
