Hello again and welcome back to the last showcase of November. Let's get stuck right in with the artistic offerings today.
1) @studio.guery
First up today is a really cool little converted piece by Yael. Turning what would have been a profound looking general into a robot looking dude, was obviously the only choice that made sense. The paint job is beautifully grimy, showcasing the dark world of 40k perfectly. I just love that gritty style of painting, and my goodness, the trench coat is so very beautiful, I wish I could wear it in real life. Yael doesn't seem to like the vanilla version of any model, as he is always mixing up the sculpts to become cool and original miniatures. If you like what you see, then go check out his page!

Following suit on the grimy world of 40k, we've got this offering by Matt. I've never been a massive fan of space marines, but I'm recently starting to change my mind on this specific sub faction; the space wolves. The paint job Matt has done on this space wolf gives it all the rustic in the world. That rather lovely shade of blue/grey has been masterful weathered and dirtied up, to allow the atmosphere to seep from the recesses. I love the little scratching details on the cloth too. Overall, a very cool paint job on a cool model. Matt has a number of other space wolves to have a look at, so go over to his page to see some more great art!
Adam provides us our next bit of artwork to peruse over. I try to stay far away from banners, because I can't stand how bad I am at painting them. Adam clearly doesn't have the same issues, as the banner he's painted up here is awesome. It looks very alive and fluid and you can almost see it flapping in the wind. I love the contrasting colours between the reds of the banner and the greens of the armour too. It's a really nice little piece, and one to feel proud of. If you'd like to see some more, go check out Adam's page.

We've already had a Matt today, so I'm going to treat you to another Matt. This Matt has provided us with a cool concept, in that he has created himself as a space marine. He wanted to create a miniature that resembled himself, and whilst I don't know the man in person, I would say it certainly looks like his pictures. I haven't actually ever seen anyone do such an original idea, and I think that's pretty cool. The greens used here are also pretty cool. Ultimately, clearly Matt is pretty cool too, so go and give his page a look!
What's that? You want more? Well, just have a little patience and wait for next week. We'll be entering the month of Christmas soon, and that's something to get you through the cold wintery nights of sunny England. If you actually live somewhere sunny, then take your good vibes elsewhere. We don't want them. We just want to sit in a dimly lit pub, clutching a poorly poured Guinness, wondering when the decrepit guy in the corner will finally die from that cough he's had for 7 years. Christmas truly is magical.
