Weekly Showcase - January 17th 2024

We're still going strong over here, and providing you your weekly dose of inspirational wonder. How are you all doing in this brand new year of 2024? Feeling refreshed and ready to tackle all of your painting ambitions? No? Well then, let's allow the four artists featured today to give you the motivational and inspirational rear end kick you require!

Getting the ball rolling for us today is Rodrigo and his friendly looking dude. This model is a really cool sculpt, and the paint job is immaculate. It's so smooth and clean, it almost makes these ghoulish freaks the regal lords they believe themselves to be. The colour scheme is dark and muted, but the expert work on painting it has allowed vibrant pops of detail to come through, ensuring a fantastic piece of art. Go check out Rodrigo's page for a lot more talent!

Next up is a super unique scheme for the orruks, and one I absolutely love. With a more grounded and unique skin tone contrasting against that beautifully pale shield; this is such a good looking model. I haven't seen a paint scheme quite like this for these models, and I would do some pretty nefarious things to see a whole army made up of them. The oil-spill esque colours for the metal is the awesome cherry on top. Please go and have a look at this artist page for more wonderful work!

Third up today is a beautiful piece of miniature art in a grim dark style that really gets my rusty gears going. I find it amazing that a colour scheme featuring a few muted dark colours, and still look so detailed and beautiful to look at. That's the mark of a truly talented artist there. The highlighting is expertly done allowing the details to pop ensuring the muted colour scheme doesn't feel flat. A very cool grimy paint job on a a very cool grimy sculpt. If you like that kind of awesome style, go check out this artist's page for more!

Closing the curtain on this weeks showcase is a beautifully vibrant and retro feeling paint job. This artist has a a wonderfully ornate style of painting, that only gets more beautiful the more you look at it. Their choice of colours is always very impressive, like with this paint job contrasting the greens against the vibrant colours of the troggoths surroundings. This artist has so many paint jobs I'd have loved to have featured, especially their Tzeentch work. Make sure you go and look at the rest of their work to treat your retinas!
