Welcome back to the next entry in this wonderfully inspirational series, showcasing all of YOU. There's an endless supply of inspiration to stick directly into your unmotivated veins, through the many thousands of wonderful artists and their art. Let's have a little look at this weeks offerings.
1) @robbieycorp
First up is Robert and his super cool and gritty octopus lover and accompanying octopus. This is a really cool sculpt and there's something nefariously charming about a tentacle ridden pet wielding a knife. The paintjob here is really smooth, with the colour palette being subtle yet striking. I particularly love the skin tones for the octopus, with expert brush use in creating texture where there is none. There's much more work like this to be found over at Robert's page!
2) @jimsminis
Jim provides our next slice of inspiration, in the form of this disgustingly beautiful soul. Nurgle sculpts allow for such interesting schemes and experimenting, always concluding in a paintjob that oozes puss ridden atmosphere. This paintjob is no different, implementing vibrant colours over a gritty and dark style. The varying degrees of green and brown, contrasting against the reds, allow for a paintjob that I'm pretty sure I can smell from here. Go check out Jim's page for more great stuff!
3) @mcpaint_56
Next up, we have this parrot inspired creature from an artist that constantly goes rogue with their bright and colourful colour schemes. I don't imagine anyone considered a paint scheme like that for this model, but this artist has no trouble finding the inspiration and imagination to do so! The wings are so beautifully done, with that lovely shade of blue working its way to the red. If you're ever struggling to come up with an alternative paint scheme, you need to head over this artist page to draw some inspiration from their beautiful mind!
Finishing up today is Alexc and his vibrant take on that dead guy under the mountain. It's always harder to try alternative schemes on something that has been so well documented through film, but Alexc has put a middle finger up to that notion. His take on this model is beautifully saturated and striking, implementing perfect contrast between that amazing shade of blue and red. It's really cool work, and a whole force of these guys would be a sight to behold. Go check Alexc's page out for more!
And that is that for another week. Hopefully you've found something to get you in the mood (not that mood, pervert) and can now dust off that paint brush you've been neglecting and create something wonderful for us all to see. And then maybe you can return the favour by having your work showcased here, to keep the cycle of inspiration going. Or don't...I don't know, I'm not your mother, it's your life to do with as you will.
