Welcome back to your weekly dose of inspiration through these weekly showcases. I hope you've been enjoying the offerings we've been provided so far this year, I know I certainly have. If you haven't, then I deeply apologise for letting you down and I'll probably head to the nearest river to throw myself in. You're welcome. Oh, and happy Valentines day.
Kicking things off is this artist and their very vibrant yet dark offerings. These sculpts are super cool, and I've mostly only seen them painted in muted and dark schemes. However here we can see them in such a beautifully saturated light, they look absolutely fantastic. I love the colour theory applied here to allow all of the colours and details to pop. Might be my favourite paintjob of the year thus far! Check out this artist's page for more!
Up next is Darren and his beautiful paint job here for us all. This is another amazing sculpt, and the paint job does it all the justice it deserves. I really like the grittier feel to this paintjob, allowing the atmosphere to ooze from it. The purple skin for the dragon fits the model perfectly, and I much prefer it to the box art red. Also, the grimy and slightly rusted metal for the armour is really cool, and acts as the pretty cherry on top of the beautiful cake. Really great stuff and more to be found over at Darren's page!
The next paintjob for you all is this ghoulish fella. I've become a big fan of the Flesh Eater Courts recently, having just painted this model myself. However, I much prefer the job this artist has perfumed, opting for sickly green flesh tones that perfectly contrast the pink of the sinewy areas. It's a really clean paintjob that looks really fantastic, it's making me think I need to amend my own colour scheme. There are many more awesomely ghoulish paint jobs to be found at this artist's page so check them out!
Finishing this weeks showcase for us is Jan and his good old space marines. I really love the painting style Jan possess and his work on this model is wonderful. From the amazing OSL work, to that beautiful gold trim, the paintjob is really cool. I think this colour scheme looks so much better than the poster boy blue, and a quick gander through Jan's page will show his extensive work on this army. It's absolutely inspiring me to paint up some space marines, which I never thought possible. If you'd also like some free inspo, check Jan's page out!
And that is that for this week of love or loneliness! A real nice eclectic selection of sculpts and styles this week, so there should be something for everyone to enjoy. I've certainly received my injection of inspiration from these artists, so I hope you have too. Now go and think them profusely for doing so, and go and paint something impressive!
