Welcome back to another week of weekly showcases; this one being the final before Christmas. If you were well behaved, then you'll be treated to four different pictures of four different paintjobs, by four different artists. If you were naughty, then you'll see four different pictures of four different lumps of coal, by four different coalmines.
1) @bheng_heng
Treating all those who haven't been insufferable w**kers this year, is this wonderful artist with their beautiful tartan Stormcast. Who knew that mixing Scottish with dead ghost man (?) would produce such an amazing result. It is perhaps the best miniature painted tartan I have ever seen, and now I must see more. The rest of the paintob is wonderfully done too, with excellent use of NMM. Please make my tartan fetish dreams come true and paint a whole army in this scheme. Go check out this artist to see more of thir work!
2) @dueling_brushmen
Next up is Julien and his totally friendly looking greenskin. This guy looks fantastic and feels like a real nice nod back to more nostalgic and simpler times. I find this painting syle quite charming, and the pastel tones only reinforce that. The tattoos are also a wonderful addition to a beautiful paintjob worthy of the respect this greenskin is clearly demading. Just overall a really cool looking paintjob that turns all the right knobs. If you agree with that, then make sure you go check out Julien's page!
3) @byjc_minis
Third up today for you all is Jean-Charles, treating you all to his reptillian goodness. This paintjob is so smooth and pretty, you just want to rub your face all over it. This already fantastic looking paintjob has then been elevated by some awesome basing work, making the sculpt feel even more alive. I'm a huge admirer of lots of effort going into basing, so festive hats off to you sir. His whole Seraphon force is a sight to behold, so make sure you get over to his page to check it out!
Turning the lights off for Christmas for us today is Emil and his offering of Nighthaunt. I'm always looking out for unique and original schemes for these guys, and this paintob has certainly fulfilled that critieria. The blending of purple and pink tones for the cloth, cotrasting against the fire style 'wisps', allow for these sculpts of minimal detil to stand out. To ensure that final bit of popping, the oxide rust on the metal is a very cool touch. If you'd like to see more of Emil's cool work, head over to his page!
And that will be it for this week! I hope you really enjoyed seeing your pre-Christmas showcase, and can go give your best festive spirits to the artists featured, to thank them for their dose of inspiration! And of course, if you were naughty, I hope you enoyed those four pieces of coal, you selfish f**k.
Merry Christmas everyone!
