Thanks for joining us again with another week of showcases for you. Half way through December, and we can nearly wave goodbye to 2023. Thank goodness for that, what a depressing lull of a year. Let's pick ourselves up with an awesome dose of inspiration, courtesy of these artists.
1) @jon_vivart
Jon is getting the show started today, with a truly beautiful piece of art. I love it when painted miniatures are taken a step further, with a simple background, to make them look like they belong in a frame hanging above the mantelpiece. This paintjob itself is fantastically done, with lots of beautiful detailing. The NMM blue hue armour is really cool, as is the expertly done gold. As someone who is yet to be succesful at NMM, it's always inspiring to see others do it so well. The background just elevates this piece to a cinematic level. Truly a piece to be proud of, so go check Jon's page out if you agree!
2) @picassawi
Next up we've got a perfectly atmospheric paintjob, provided by Kuba. This sculpt is a really cool one, and the choice of colour scheme fits him wonderfully. The very muted tones, contrasting against the amazing OSL work, just allows this piece to leak all sorts of feelings from it's recesses. So creepy, yet so curious. Do you want to run away screaming, or sit and listen to his tale? Always a brilliant paintjob if it gets you thinking like that. Wonderful stuff, and more to be found on Kuba's page!
3) @butcher_brush
This next artist provides us with this beautifully detailed piece to drool over. This model is rich with details and atmosphere, and the paintjob certainly hasn't let it down. It's dark and gritty, yet somehow still feels somewhat vibrant. The great job at OSL brings the vibrancy in the form of orange tones, and that contrasts perfectly against the dark colours of the overall piece. And despite the darkness, the little glints of metal is the perfect cherry on top. If you'd like to see more, go check out this artist's page!
4) @oeiartstudio
Finishing off this weeks showcase is this utterly beautiful paintjob. I've said before that this is one of my favourite sculpts, and this paintjob is one of the best I've seen on it. The beautiful degrees of blue that make up the skin, matched alongside the blending of the purpes and greens; this truly has been masterfully painted. All of those little eyes are fantastic too, though the large one in the staff takes the biscuit. The metallic work is awesome too. Overall, I'd love to see a whole Tzeentch force painted like this. If you would too, go check this artist out!
Thank you for reading this weeks showcase and for checking out the artists featured today. Yes, I am presuming that you have made the effort to check them out further, because otherwise, what are you even doing here? You never know, you might just have found your new favourite artist. And for that, you are more than welcome.
