Here we are, relentlessly here with another showcase for another week. I feel like I've been making these for years, but alas, it's only been about 5 months. That's 5 months of incredible art, all available for your eyeballs to feast over. And this week is no different!
1) @liberdaemonica
Kicking things off for us today is this immaculately painted mini scene. I love models like this, where they depict something more than just a pose. And as such, I fid them most deserving of an incredible paintjob. Well this artist has answered that call, creating this piece of art. Truly, the level of detail going on here, through the contrasting colours, to the NMM and even the OSL, I find myself in awe. Actually, it's more like fear; fear that I'll never be able to create a paintjob that looks as sickeningly good as this. Fear is a good motivator, and therefore a good source of inspiration. If you want to feel these things, go check this artist out!
2) @olafminiatures
Next up is this wonderful tree faring lady, shown off in an original colour scheme. The choice to use blue really freshens up this great sculpt of a model, tying into the scheme with the leaves also painted blue. It's easy to have a rather muted scheme for these guys, so it's a pleasure to see such a vibrant and well done on this lucky lady. There's much more where this came from, so go and check Olaf out!
3) @admiralgrudge
I have featured some Terradons before, and you better believe that I'll do it again. And I have! Here we've got these super cool flying bombers to look at. This artist has done arguably too much justice on those wings; in fact they might be one of my favourite wing jobs (yes that's right) I've come across. The basing absolutely plonks the cherry on the cake, fitting the theming so very perfectly. And not a single transparent stand in sight, THANK YOU! If you like what you see, go check this artist and their other Seraphon work out!
Finishing things off for us today is this rather solemn looking kayaker. Looks like he didn't get the memo about the uniform. I love the sculps of Nighthaunt, but seldom like many paintjobs I see, including my own attempts. However, this artist has created a simple and effective colour scheme that fits them perfectly. So much so, I'm surprised this wasn't the direction for the box art. It makes them look less goofy and far more scary and intimidating. The skill employed here to create a dark and gritty model that oozes atmosphere will always be inspiring for me. If you would like to also receive some inspiration, go check out this artist and the rest of their Nighthaunt!
And that concludes another weekly showcase! I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen today, and I hope you make the effort to go and check these artists out as they deserve it! and while you're at it, you might as well go through and check every single other artists I have featured since creating this blog.
