Are you getting bored of these introductions, like I am writing them? Well luckily for all of us, I'm going to get on with it immediately, so let's have a look at some wonderful work!
1) @long_brush
To start this week off, we've got this wonderful chaos warrior from Niccolò to enjoy. This guy has an incredible choice of amazing chaos paintjobs to peruse, but this is the one that stuck with me. It's a very unique take, with a colour scheme straight out of the gritty rulebook. The green and blue hues give an otherwise muted palette some subtle pops of colour. Looking through much of his recent paintjobs, I must say his unique and expert style of painting is fast becoming a favourite of mine. If you go check out his page, it might just be your new favourite!
2) @deeplightstudios
You can always rely on me to include some sort lizard in these showcases, and this week is no different. We've got this awesome take on the new starseer, making him a starpriest instead. It's a very sweet little model, and the paintjob compliments that fact perfectly. The transition from pink to blue works wonders, and is a colour scheme I haven't seen before on Seraphon. This colour scheme would be beautiful across the board on a whole army, so let's hope we can see that in the future. Go check out this artist to marvel at their other work!
I haven't come across many 40k painters, who paint in a style that speaks to my soul. However, Jono here knows my language, and paints 40k in perhaps the grittiest and dirtiest way I've seen. I mean, how can someone paint such incredible work, using grey as their main colour?! No seriously, if you know someone else, then let me know. This man has mastered the art of weathering, and his bases are next level. Absolutely one of my favourite 40k painters, and if you agree, then go check out his page for all that good stuff!
Closing this week for us is perhaps the most unique colour scheme I've ever seen for the bonereapers. If you ever wondered what it was like to take three too many tabs in a graveyard, then wonder no more. This artist has sated your curiosity with the classic combo of tripping balls and bones, and has done so in spectacular fashion. These models have no right looking this good in such a psychedelic colour scheme, yet here they are looking so incredibly stimulating. This artist has carried this colour scheme over a few of these models, and is absolutely worth your time checking out!
That's the end of another weekly showcase, and I hope you were pleasantly surprised, and maybe a little bit scared. Because fear is the greatest motivator of all, so if it helps you to be inspired to paint that thing you were thinking of painting but have been putting off, then I'll call that a resounding success. And you can thank the artists featured here for giving you a much needed rear end kick.
