Well if it isn't another week, and therefore another weekly showcase to grace your retinas. We've got a cool little selection for you today, so just chill out, call your mother and tell her you love her and let's get on with it.
Peter is our first artist today, bringing his offering to the inspiration melting pot. I don't think we've seen many Necrons over here, so I'm very glad the first one is a cool alternative scheme. Electing to go for an awesome synth-wave colour palette, this paintjob really pops with electricity in all of the right ways. The contrast of the pink and teal allow for a visual treat, whilst the white armour provides the perfect neutral backdrop for the aforementioned to perform even better. Really great stuff, and there's a whole lot more to be found over on Peter's page!
This next artist brings kindly brings us our next offering, in the form of this pretty cool space marine. I don't really know anything about 40k and why a guitar would be taken into battle, but I'm all for it. The colour palette here is lovely, with the little pops of blue exploding from the burgandy. The blending and highlighting work really allows for the paintjob to shine, and for the contrast of those colours to work effortlessly The addition of that unique base is the cherry on top. Go check out this artist for more of their work!
Next up we've got a really cool sculpt and paintjob to match it. This is quite the imposing model, and looks like it probably provides a challnege in painting it. However, this artist has blown that notion to smithereens, with this beautiful job. The colour palette is a fairly simple one, but proves that it's more than effective, contrasting the cold and warm tones to great effect. A whole army in this scheme would be quite the sight to behold, so go and check out this artists page to see more!
Closing the show today is Darius and his incredible paintjob. This is such an amazing sculpt, and so many different colour schemes work wonders on it. Darius' own is quite the visual spectacle, going for a very dark and gritty atmosphere and pulling it off wonderfully. The choice of blue skin tone looks great against the pale golds of the metal and red of the cloak. The real skill here however is in the highlighting, which has ensured that the overall paintjob isn't too dark, and every colour has it's chance to pop. Go check out Darius' page for more beauty now!
And that's all we've got for today and therefore this week! I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen today, and go and further your enjoyment by checking out the artists featured here in detail, for a free injection of inspiration.
